The three worlds of health informationCity University, London, UK, db{at}soi.city.ac.uk The applicability, validity and usefulness of Karl Poppers Three Worlds epistemology is examined, with specific reference to health-care information and knowledge. It is concluded that Poppers ideas provide a valuable way of understanding this domain and that, in particular, Poppers controversial World 3 of objective knowledge is a valid concept.
